Our History

Kenneth W. Blessing, Sr. was a partner in the Cooper-Everett-Blessing Agency in Montoursville. Shortly after leaving that agency, he purchased the RC Bartlow Agency in Muncy and created The Blessing Insurance Agency on January 1, 1975. He subsequently purchased the GF Decker Agency in Montgomery, the Jared Strickler Agency in Watsontown, as well as the Richard Ferrell Agency and the George Willis Agency in Hughesville.

On July 1, 1990, Kenneth W. Blessing Jr. purchased the agency from his father. Twelve years after the purchase, the agency his father created officially became The Blessing Insurance Agency, Inc. on April 1, 2002. The continued growth of the agency brought Blessing Insurance to their new facility located at 1675 John Brady Drive in Muncy, Pennsylvania on May 19, 2008.

Today, the agency is owned by Nicole Blessing, daughter of Kenneth Blessing, Jr. and the third member of the family to run the business. She bought The Blessing Insurance Agency on January 1, 2017, and she has been serving her community with the same Blessing family values ever since. Nicole worked hard to make her purchase of the company as easy as possible on her customers, and she plans to continue providing stellar customer service and personalized insurance policies for years to come.

The Blessing Insurance Agency, Inc. continues to be a leader in both customer service and within our community by supporting organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, Eastern Lycoming YMCA, Muncy Valley Hospital, Little League Baseball, Muncy, Montgomery & Hughesville School District Sports, and Muncy Historical Society.
